YOUR FACILITATOR
Hello, I’m Anouska. I’ve been teaching yoga for seven years (E-RYT® 200, YACEP®).
In 2017 I founded The Office Yoga Company, a corporate wellness consultancy trusted by 200+ organisations globally, including FTSE 100 and Fortune 500 companies, national governments, and world-class universities.
As someone who both teaches and runs an agency (a rarity in the corporate yoga space), I have a wealth of knowledge and experience, not only in how to teach, but how to make it work as a full-time endeavour. During our busiest weeks of the year, my team and I teach 25+ wellness sessions to clients all around the world. We’ve delivered everything from office team-building events to strategic employee wellness programmes on a global scale.
Before starting my business, I studied economics and graphic design. I began my career working in high-pressure creative roles spanning six years on projects in London, Singapore, and Shanghai. At various points, I was clocking in an extra 50 hours of overtime a month; as were many of my colleagues. Yoga has been a pastime of mine since childhood and I believed strongly in its power to restore some of the disconnect and balance that is lost when we spend too much time living through our screens. What started in earnest as a Tuesday lunchtime class I would give to my fellow colleagues evolved into the business as it stands today.
Teaching wellness practices to people in their offices is never dull, and can even be a bit uncanny at times. It’s also very rewarding and meaningful work, seeing people progress in their practice over the course of many months, or even years. It’s my desire with this programme to help other teachers develop their careers and have a positive and lasting impact on their students.
