It’s nearing the end of the year and the festive season is in full swing. The lead-up to Christmas is a joyful time, but also one that can put a lot of demands and expectations on us. With that in mind, we’ve put together a few of our favourite suggestions for beating stress around the holidays.

🧘‍♂️ Keep those joints bendy

The festive break can often bring with it a bit more sofa time. Make sure to take plenty of movement breaks (tea, anyone?) and stay hydrated to keep the joints happy and moving as they should. Swapping the furniture for the floor is another great way to keep the hips in tip top condition as we finish the year.

🍸 Find relief from ‘hangxiety’

The anxiety we can sometimes feel after a night of over-indulging is caused by the depletion of serotonin in the hours (and sometimes days) that follow. In case you missed it, read our article on brain chemicals for tips on how to give your mood regulating neurotransmitters a boost.

🌅 Try a ‘digital sunset’

As the days get shorter and darker, be mindful of your screen time after the sun sets. Putting your phone on flight mode, changing the display to greyscale, or just turning on Do Not Disturb can be a game changer.
