Desk Yoga & Desk Pilates

As the names suggest, you can easily practise Desk Yoga and Desk Pilates from your workspace, whether that be in the office or the one you use at home. Our desk-based classes offer many of the same benefits you would expect from a mat class, often in a fraction of the time. Because there is no need for a mat or any other equipment, these classes are ideal for smaller spaces, and you can even be wearing regular clothes.

What Do the Classes Involve?

Each session combines movement – a combination of standing and seated stretches – with mindfulness and breathwork for added mental health benefits. We focus on stretches and self-care practices to calm the mind and dissolve patterns of habitual tension in the body. The sequences are specifically designed alleviate the stresses incurred from long days of sitting. In particular, easing tension in the upper back, shoulders and neck, and relieving tightness in the hips.

Our clients find that they are a great way to break up the day, get moving and let go of stress, returning to their work feeling recharged and more relaxed.

For best and long-lasting results, we recommend running these classes on a regular basis. We can livestream and record these classes privately for your company which makes this a scalable and cost-effective investment into your workforce's wellbeing.

How Many People Can Join?

For the prices quoted on our website, the limit is 80 participants. For larger groups, please get in touch with your requirements. Our meeting rooms can hold up to 20,000 participants.

How Much Space Do We Need?

For our mat-based classes, you will ideally need about 1.5m x 2.2m of space per person.

If you are limited on space, we recommend our desk-based classes, which involve a combination of seated and standing poses, and can be easily practised at one’s desk or a conference room table.

We can also host private group sessions at an indoor or outdoor venue near your office, for the full ‘studio’ experience. To find out more, please get in touch.

Are These Sessions Beginner-Friendly?

Yes! All of our classes and workshops are accessible for every level of practitioner and assume no prior knowledge. Our teachers will offer options for each of the exercises and poses so that everyone feels included. We always encourage participants to listen to their bodies and make an adjustment or take a rest as feels good to them.

We regret that our fitness classes are not suitable for pregnant women.

What Are the Advantages of Offering Wellbeing Classes?

Numerous studies have shown that the benefits of providing wellbeing programmes in the workplace more than offset their cost by lowering staff turnover, improving productivity, attracting the best talent, and reducing the number of days lost to stress-related illness.

They’re also excellent for getting people moving while working remotely to help manage and prevent aches and pains, while also engaging with their colleagues in a relaxed, collaborative way.

What if We Need to Cancel?

Cancellations and reschedules may be made with no charge as long as at least two business days’ notice is given. Admin fees are non-refundable.

Can You Offer Recordings?

Yes! We live-stream our virtual classes to create a communal experience for the attendees, however, our sessions can also be played back later at a time that suits them. Please note that we can only offer recordings for classes and workshops hosted by us on Microsoft Teams. To purchase recordings of you live classes, please select how many you would like here.

Classes at your office can also be live-streamed and recorded by the instructor, to benefit those working from home or other offices. Please get in touch to find out more.

What Equipment Do We Need?

Our desk-based classes require no equipment and can even be practised in regular clothes, allowing them to blend seamlessly into your colleagues’ workday.

Our mat-based classes require mats and nothing else. If you commit to a block of classes, we can provide up to 12 mats free of charge for your office, provided you have somewhere to store them. If you’re interested in purchasing a set we can also recommend you some options for your budget. Those practising remotely at home do not strictly need a mat if practising on a rug or carpeted floor.

Are Your Teachers Insured?

Yes, all of our instructors are fully accredited by industry-leading credentialing bodies, and carry liability insurance for both virtual and on-site classes.

How Much Will It Cost?

Prices for our virtual events start from just £35 a session. The prices quoted on our website are applicable for groups of up to 80 participants, and are calculated based on the length and quantity of class(es) booked.
